BRC-20 is a JSON token protocol inscribed via Bitcoin Ordinals, published by the pseudonymous Domo on 8 March 2023. Deploy, mint, transfer; first-seen ticker wins; balances off-chain in indexers. A copy with different geology
The operations are the same. The geology is not. Bitcoin has a fierce fee market and a well-rehearsed ordinal numbering from genesis. Dogecoin has cheap block space and a random subsidy era. Copying BRC-20 without solving shibe numbering produced the indexer stall of spring 2023.
